TAU Tequila Extra Añejo – 55 Months · Three Cask Maturation (750 ml)
A rare and deeply expressive Extra Añejo aged 55 months in three types of casks. Crafted from highland blue agave and double distilled in copper, this tequila delivers layered complexity, noble oak, cacao, and a long, luxurious finish
TAU Tequila Extra Añejo represents the pinnacle of the TAU house — a spirit shaped by time, patience, and reverence for agave.
Crafted from fully mature 100% Blue Weber agave grown in the Highlands of Jalisco, this Extra Añejo is slowly cooked in traditional masonry ovens, gently fermented, and double distilled in copper alembics. It is then aged for 55 months in three different types of casks, allowing depth, elegance, and complexity to emerge naturally.
In the glass, it glows with golden hues brushed with copper tones, offering a voluptuous body and refined presence.
On the nose, this is a tequila meant to be savored slowly. Aromas unfold with mature agave at the core, followed by red fruit, lemon, orange, and plum, revealing a layered terroir expression accented by lavender, nutmeg, almond, roasted peanut, and a refined echo of Mexican cacao.
The palate is honest and commanding. Notes of oak, cacao, vanilla, marzipan-like peanut, and warming spices of pepper and clove give way to a soft, elegant finish reminiscent of jamoncillo (Mexican milk fudge). A rich herbal backbone carries through, speaking clearly of agave’s enduring spirit.
The finish is long, robust, and expansive — a defining hallmark of true Extra Añejo tequila. Each bottle is a singular expression, honoring handcrafted barrels, sacred aging, and moments meant to transcend time.
