Hogshead Luna Llena is a single-barrel añejo tequila from the Hogshead Travesía Collection I, produced in Los Altos de Jalisco at NOM 1634. Made from 100% agave, this expression spent 27 months in a medium-high-toast Hungarian oak cask that previously held cognac. It is bottled unblended at 52.4% ABV (104.8 proof).
Tasting Notes
Deep amber with copper highlights. Aromas of oak, caramel, prune and butterscotch are followed by chocolate, butter, cinnamon and black pepper. The palate is full and rounded, with caramel, dried fruit, cooked agave and warm spice leading to a long, smooth finish.
